Help the Aged

Besides loving the song [by Pulp] , I have been hanging out with Chun in Montreal for a grand total of 1.5 days . We ate wings, watched reruns of the 70s show and had too much dessert.

It was nice, because I miss D so much that its been the first two nights where I've actually slept properly, having somebody around who just likes me for being me. I am happy she liked her birthday present too.

As for the journey, 10 hours in total , was spent listening to music on the way there, and meeting a fellow from the Phillippines on the way back to TO, whom has a Singaporean girlfriend. And the driver was from Malaysia. Small world , that .

It was nice talking about D instead of just thinking about him. Call it what you will, but I think I am settling, so sssssh let me enjoy it .

Today I went to some art galleries too . Good coffee , a huge installation of a womb and the company of oasis makes for inspiration.

Grindhouse

Tino and Rodriguez did a good job with that. It was gruesome, but quite positive and has a killer soundtrack. I would not like to be a male in that cinema. A lot of the movie emphasized femme power, and the ladies were healthy, busty and proportionate, beside being the last nail on the coffin for the anorexic, bleached, artificial and WIMPY woman of the early 00s. They had big thighs, big hair and attitude.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I recommend every girl aged 11 and above watch it . It certainly made me go home and put on my kick-some-ass music.

Way behind

Today I realised why I haven't been updating this thing. I used to keep two separate logs, one online and public, and the other written and private. Now its kind of in the air for both.

The function of this blog was to keep people in the loop, but it isn't because whatever is written alienates. It makes some people mad, or worried, or whatever people feel. Its supposed to narrate, give messages and statements. Its a one-way means of communication.

Which brings me to the point of why I haven't kept up with the private journal. Well.....People ask me whats my plan, whats going to happen , and seriously, I don't know. I am doing whatever I feel is right at the moment, excuse my french, so that I at least don't fuck up. Would you believe I am intensely scared of that, everyday of my life ?

So, what did I do today?

Marathon session of Jeff Buckley, exploratory Weezer, the new and improved socially conscious South Park, visa stuff, bbc documentary on dark matter, and talha dropped by to hang out.

Cool stuff. I promise to keep you folks updated, but the last 6 weeks were hectic. Learning to laugh for no one else, I call it.

News

David left for the UK yesterday , so that he can find a job back home in london, and I can study for my CFAs in June. So in July its avoir canada, and happily back in the EU.

Ah, I miss him.

Its been really quiet because both of us were focusing a lot on doing nothing. I think we were within 4 ft of each other for 70% of last week. It was awesome.
